Whenever I meet a couple for a wedding consultation, I of course want to know a little about them, so I always ask how they met. Well, Ashley and Dylan had such a sweet story to tell me : ) These two met in middle school! And have been together ever since! How cool is that…they went through all of those crazy middle and high school years together, they stuck by each others’ sides through it all, and now have happily committed to spending the rest of their lives together! After getting to know each them a little better during their engagement session, I could see these two were meant to be together, and I was really looking forward to their wedding celebration…
The vendors that made Ashley & Dylan’s wedding day possible:
Ceremony Location: Alliance Church in Plymouth, Wisconsin
Reception Location: Millhome Supper Club in Kiel, Wisconsin
DJ: Boogie Time Duke in Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Bride’s Stylist: Charlene’s of Elkhart in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
Second Photographer: Kristel Stephany
With both of them loving the outdoors, and Ashley being really into photography, we had brainstormed lots of ideas for where could take beautiful and natural looking photographs. The first spot we wanted to try was The Osthoff in Elkhart Lake. Of course it was super crowded since it was a beautiful summer day, but luckily the grounds at the Osthoff are big enough to accommodate us all : )
We had taken some of their engagement pictures at The Osthoff, so it was fun to re-create one of our favorite engagement images near the gazebo!
Our second picture spot was a meaningful location for Dylan. This is the pond in Glenbeulah where he used to ride his bike as a kid so he could go fishing. Familiar locations make the best spots for wedding pictures!
And our final stop was on Elkhart Lake, where a friend of the family let them do a little fishing on their dock! I love incorporating things that are special to the couple into their wedding pictures. And since these two love to go finishing together, it was only appropriate that they get to cast a line on this special day!
Over at Millhome Supper Club, friends and family were getting the party started, and admiring the adorable themed cake!
And of course the newlyweds were up for a little escape from their reception later on! I love taking a few final portraits of the bride and groom towards the end of the night, after reality has started to sink in, the stressful parts of the day are over, and they’re ready to relax and really have fun. You can really see the love and happiness on their faces…
Ashley & Dylan, congratulations again, and all the best in this brand new chapter you’re entering together!
